BOSS' work lifting individuals, families, and communities out of poverty and crisis would not be possible without the support and generosity of donors. Every donation made to BOSS has a profound impact, creating ripple effects that reverberate far beyond the act of giving itself.
Breaking the Cycle of Poverty: Donors who contribute to BOSS become agents of change, directly addressing the root causes of poverty by enabling BOSS to provide essential services such as affordable housing, job training, and education programs.
Providing Safe and Stable Housing: Donors help BOSS provide safe and stable housing solutions - from emergency housing programs to permanent supported housing facilities to housing search and move-in assistance. Donor support offers a lifeline to families and individuals experiencing homelessness, helping to provide a safe haven as people rebuild their lives and work toward self-sufficiency.
Supporting Healing and Wellness:
Donors support BOSS programs that address the emotional, mental, and social well-being of individuals impacted by incarceration and homelessness. Contributions help fund counseling services, substance abuse treatment programs, and community-building
initiatives that support people to heal, grow, and reintegrate successfully into society.
Creating Lasting Community Impact: By investing in the mission of BOSS, donors actively participate in building stronger and more resilient communities. The positive change initiated through their support radiates outward, creating a domino effect of empowerment, hope, and opportunity.
In-Kind Donations:
Even if you don't have money to make a cash donation, in-kind donations (new or very gently used goods and equipment) are needed and appreciated!!! Gwen Austin, Community Engagement Manager, says that these types of donations give the people we serve, "one less thing to worry about," so they can focus on healing and growth.
Through in-kind donations, donors have an opportunity to impact someone in need directly.
Donor POWER!
Donors have the power to ignite change and make a tangible difference in the lives of those facing adversity. Donors enable BOSS to continue providing vital services, break the cycle of poverty, and provide love, respect, safety, and a sense of belonging to families, individuals, and communities impacted by deep poverty and systemic inequity. Together, donors and BOSS are building a more equitable society where everyone has the chance to thrive - your contribution matters and MAKES A DIFFERENCE!
