Armand Carr
The Voice of the Bay Area
Meet the voice behind the heartwarming melodies and the driving force behind community empowerment. Armand Carr, affectionately known as "The Voice," joins us as the Emcee for BOSS' 50th Anniversary Celebration.

With an illustrious radio career that graced Los Angeles and a commitment to giving back to his beloved Bay Area, Armand's journey is an inspiring tale of using one's voice to uplift communities. As the voice behind the Quiet Storm on KBLX 102.9FM, his soothing baritone guided listeners through musical journeys, but Armand's mission extends far beyond the airwaves.

In 2016, he founded All Tied Up, a non-profit organization that prepares young men of color for success. Through this initiative, Armand has visited over 125 schools and programs, donated thousands of ties and hygiene kits, and served nearly 7,000 students.
His dedication to community service has earned him accolades, including the 2017 Jefferson Award, recognition by Congresswoman Barbara Lee, and the proclamation of "Armand Carr Day" by Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf in 2021.

Join us in celebrating BOSS' 50th Anniversary with Armand Carr as our Emcee. His commitment to empowering the community resonates deeply with BOSS's mission, making him the perfect host for this special occasion. Together, we'll embark on a night of reflection, inspiration, and hope for the future.
