Honoring Mothers with Care and Community at WCRC and Ursula Sherman Village

On May 11th, the Women & Children's Reentry Campus (WCRC) and Ursula Sherman Village (USV) opened their arms to honor our communities' heartbeat—mothers.

At our Mother’s Day celebration hosted at the WCRC/USV, BOSS brought warmth, nourishment, and a sense of belonging to every guest who walked through our doors. Mothers were welcomed with a hot meal, a warm hug, and words of gratitude. A sweet cupcake and a single rose were lovingly gifted to each mother—a gesture of appreciation and grace.

The message was simple, but powerful: You are welcome here, wherever you are in your journey.

At BOSS, we recognize that many mothers in our community carry the weight of multiple roles and responsibilities, often without the support they deserve. That’s why we create spaces like this: spaces where joy, connection, and dignity come first.

These moments are reminders that every mother deserves care, celebration, and a community that sees her. We are proud to stand with and for the women who continue to build futures in the face of adversity.

Stay tuned for more community-centered events and healing gatherings from BOSS, and join us in uplifting the mothers in your life—not just in May, but every day.
