Save Our Pretrial Services Program!
The Interfaith Coalition for Justice in Our Jails urges the Alameda County Board of Supervisors to fund BOSS’s Pretrial Expansion Program through December 2027. The coalition wants the program to keep running while its one-year evaluation is completed and made public. The post highlights the program’s early results, including a 24% reduction in re-arrest and failure-to-appear rates, and features BOSS Deputy Director Dr. Nichole Pettway on the importance of having a case manager present when a person walks out of jail.
