There are artists who perform—and then there are artists who live their truth in every lyric. BOSS is proud to uplift the voice of Amir of Chuck's Lounge, a passionate member of our BOSS team and a powerhouse of inspiration through his music and message.
Chuck Lounges' newest release, "Wake Up," is a personal declaration, a spiritual testimony, and a rallying cry for self-empowerment. Chuck's Lounge encourages listeners to embrace their potential, push through pain, and rise into purpose.
Amir’s passion is rooted in both joy and heartbreak. On July 22, 2019, he experienced the unimaginable—his son was taken from him in an act of senseless gun violence, just as he was preparing for work. Only 48 hours later, on July 24, Amir's mother passed from a heart attack, a loss Amir describes as heartbreak upon heartbreak. Instead of letting grief consume him, he transformed it into purpose.
Today, Amir uses his platform to fuel purpose as a performer, mentor, and advocate to inspire communities, uplift youth, and stand against violence. He brought that same fire to the stage at BOSS' Mental Wealth Block Party, sharing his story and reminding us of the healing power of music and truth.

Whether mentoring young people, performing on stage, or building up his community through his work as a Housing Navigator at BOSS, Amir embodies resilience. His nickname, Mr. Excitement, says it all—his performances are electric, but his spirit truly lights up every room he walks into.
We’re proud to have Amir on our team. His voice reminds us that healing, resistance, and artistry can and must coexist.
Take a listen to "Wake Up." Let it stir something inside you. And then go out and live it.
