BREAKING BARRIERS 4.0: MOBILIZING TO PROTECT & ADVANCE PROGRESS
Breaking Barriers is BOSS’ biennial convening bringing together people with lived experience, crime survivors, reentry and violence intervention professionals, advocates, community organizations, and policymakers to strengthen the movement for criminal justice reform.
Now in its fourth convening, Breaking Barriers 4.0: Mobilizing to Protect & Advance Progress will focus on protecting recent policy gains while building the relationships, knowledge, and collective action needed to move the work forward.
This year’s conversations will center on reentry, community violence intervention (CVI), Trauma Recovery Centers, and Clean Slate expungement, with a focus on what is happening now and what is needed next at the local, state, and national levels.
Attendees will have opportunities to hear from community leaders and advocates, participate in policy-focused conversations, connect with organizations doing this work, and access on-site expungement services, voter education, and voter registration.
