A new study by the National Low Income Housing Coalition (NLIHC) underscores what BOSS's homeless participants have known for years - there are not enough affordable places to live.

Findings in the study released on Feb 15 2012 included the fact that in every state in the nation, there are not enough affordable units for people who need them... for every 100 households that earn less than a third of the median income for the region, there are only 30 units affordable to them... apartment vacancies are at their lowest level in a decade as people who cannot afford to buy have flooded the rental market... one in every five households say they struggle to buy food... and more.
