In BOSS leadership is a collaborative endeavor, not hierarchical. BOSS is governed by a Board of Directors, and managed by an Executive Director and a team of program managers—the BOSS Leadership Team—who have collective responsibility for problem-solving, planning trainings, strategic planning, and other organizational needs. This team also works in partnership with our homeless program participants, who help plan and implement trainings, identify key policy goals to organize around, and volunteer in all programs.

We believe decision-making that involves multiple points of view, experiences, and backgrounds both builds community and results in better decisions and solutions. We extend this belief to the work we do externally, as well—engaging our participants in community decision-making, city and county hearings, advocacy with elected officials, and speaking with media and community groups to share their stories.
