- Site improvements: Volunteers are always need for painting, cleaning, repairs, gardening, and beautifying our facilities, which are heavily used and have lots of wear and tear.
- Activity nights: Volunteers can make homeless families, children, and individuals feel remembered and cared for by the community by organizing special activities such as birthday or holiday parties, movie nights, and more.
- Tutoring: Volunteers are sometimes needed to help homeless adults with literacy, basic education, and computer learning.
- Life skills classes: Do you have a special skill that would help homeless people prepare for independent living? For example, budgeting/money management, cost-efficient shopping and healthy cooking, and stress relief workshops are always beneficial.
- Pro bono assistance: Do you have legal, therapy, or other professional skills that might help a homeless family or individual? We can help you connect with someone who needs your help.
- Arts and recreation: Volunteer-run arts classes have been among our most popular offerings in the past, and similar multi-cultural activities are always beneficial to our clientele.
Fundraising: Volunteers are always needed to help us find new donors and get them excited about our work—are speakers welcome at your school, place of worship, or civic club? Help arrange a presentation by BOSS, or organize a team to sponsor BOSS in your favorite marathon.
